Digital service commerce based on digital technology, with digital services at the heart and a digital platform as the carrier for digital delivery, has emerged as a significant mode of international trade, especially in the post-epidemic era, digital service trade has played an important role in restoring production and life and stimulating consumption growth. The signing of the RCEP will significantly advance the process of global economic integration and will play a significant role in fostering cross-border digital service trade and regional integration mechanisms. As a result,it is critical to investigate the level of development of digital service trade in RCEP nations.Based on this, this article employs both theoretical and empirical research to investigate the competitiveness and influencing variables of China’s digital service trade within the RCEP framework. This study organizes important research, defines the meaning of digital service commerce and its industrial categorization, and concludes. After sorting out relevant trade data based on the calculation of UN Comtrade database, and analyzing the development status of digital service trade from the perspectives of the world,China and other RCEP member countries.Secondly, this paper analyzes RCEP member nations and locates the competitiveness growth of China’s digital service trade using an explicit comparative advantage index and a market share index. Finally, using the Porter "diamond model",this study selects variables that assess the influencing elements impacting digital service trade export competitiveness, builds a multiple linear regression model, and evaluates its influencing factors.Lastly, this study makes policy recommendations based on the outcomes of the international competitiveness index computation and linear regression results. This paper finds that China has strong competitiveness in digital service trade, high world market share, strong growth rate and great development potential among RCEP member countries, but there is still a certain gap with developed countries such as Japan and Singapore. The results of multiple regression show that the fixed broadband penetration rate, per capita national economic level, and openness of RCEP member countries play a positive role in improving the competitiveness of digital service trade exports. Therefore, this paper puts forward policy suggestions such as optimizing the industrial structure, strengthening infrastructure construction, and increasing industrial opening to promote the high-quality development of China’s digital service trade.
