SMEs play an important role in the national economy. With the rapid change of a new generation of information technology, the new era of economic development has revealed the characteristics of digitalization. The transformation of the large market environment has forced SMEs to carry out digital transformation, but most of them still face the dilemma that it is difficult to transform out of failure.Digital transformation is not a simple technology upgrade, but also has special requirements for enterprise management. The adaptabilities of management mode and information technology determine the effect of transformation.Informationized management is a type of modern management model by using information technology to manage activities, which has been widely used in enterprise management. Therefore, exploring the influence mechanism of enterprise informationized management level on the effect of digital transformation can form a working mechanism to guide the digital transformation of enterprises from the management perspective. In this research,I firstly read and sorted out a large amount of literature related to informationized management and digital transformation of SMEs,built up a suitable theoretical research model based on the existing research findings, and put forward research hypotheses.Secondly,a measurement scale to measure the level of informationized management and digital transformation effect of SMEs was developed based on the classical and mature scales. The questionnaire for this study was designed under the guidance of the supervisor and relevant experts in the field of digitization, revised after the pre-study,and then formally distributed.A total of 316 validly samples were returned. Then, descriptive statistical analysis and reliability tests were conducted on the questionnaire data to ensure the validity of the data. Finally, the structural equation modeling method was used to verify whether the hypotheses were valid and to explore the specific impact path of the informationized management level of SMEs on the effect of digital transformation.Consistent with the research hypotheses, the research results found that the digital transformation was positively effected by the information system application level, standardize business processes, and information organization construction of enterprises.Among these, the information organization construction had the greatest effect on the digital transformation, while the information system application level and standardize business processes had smaller effects. In addition, the information technology organization construction had a direct impact on the digital transformation. The information system application level and standardize business processes had both direct and indirect impact on the digital transformation. The data quality played a mediating effect in the indirect impact. In a word, the level of information management of SMEs affected the effect of digital transformation. In order to promote digital transformation in SMEs,this paper provides guidance on methods and management system construction for enterprise management practices.Firstly, digital transformation involves the rational allocation and use of human, financial, material and other resources throughout the enterprise, and enterprises should pay attention to the construction of information organizations before digital transformation, and improve employees’ acceptance of new technologies in an information atmosphere.Secondly, the system should be introduced according to the actual needs of the enterprise, instead of blindly following. Finally,To carry out standardized management, clarify business processes, and establish a sense of standardization for employees, the enterprise could have a good state of production and operation.
