Research On The Impact Of Digital Development On The Modernization Of China’s Manufacturing Industry Chain

At the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee,the Communist Party of China clearly put forward the important idea of "industrial chain modernization" for the first time,requiring the realization of industrial chain modernization.In recent years,the state has always regarded the promotion of industrial chain modernization as the key work of building an industrial modernization country,which is the key weapon to promote economic transformation and upgrading and form a modern industrial system.At this stage,a new round of technological revolution has an impact all over the world.Big data has been valued as a new manufacturing element.Countries have taken digitization as the main direction of future development.Digitization has penetrated into all aspects of industrial development,which is of special significance to promote the modernization of industrial chain.Digital development can promote enterprises to apply digital technologies such as artificial intelligence,cloud computing and blockchain,transform a large amount of tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge,and break the space-time barrier of knowledge and technology interaction among enterprises;It can reduce the information exchange cost of upstream and downstream enterprises,improve the efficiency of factor resource allocation,promote the balance between market supply and demand,enhance enterprise synergy and promote factor marketization;It can accelerate the connection of human,machine,data and other elements,forge a higher-level manufacturing industry chain,and comprehensively realize the modernization of manufacturing industry chain.Firstly,based on previous studies,this paper analyzes the theoretical basis and mechanism of digital development on the modernization of manufacturing industry chain,and introduces in detail the direct effect of digital development on the modernization of manufacturing industry chain and the intermediary effect of factor marketization as an intermediary variable.Secondly,the digital development level and the comprehensive level of manufacturing industry chain modernization of 31 provinces in China(except Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan)from 2010 to 2019 are measured and compared by principal component analysis.Finally,the impact path of digital development on the modernization of manufacturing industry chain is studied through model demonstration.The conclusions are as follows:(1)on the whole,the digital development level can promote the modernization of manufacturing industry chain;From the perspective of subregions,there is also obvious heterogeneity between regions.The digital development level has a positive impact on the modernization of manufacturing industry chain in eastern China,but has no significant impact on the modernization of manufacturing industry chain in central and Western China,which may be related to the digital development level of different regions in China.(2)The level of factor marketization is the intermediary channel of digitalization affecting the modernization of manufacturing industry chain.It has an intermediary effect in the process of digitalization promoting the modernization of manufacturing industry chain.Therefore,on this basis,corresponding policy suggestions are put forward: consolidate the industrial foundation and make up for the shortcomings of the industrial chain;Promote innovation to lead development and form a long board of industrial chain;Enhance the synergy of industrial chain and improve the layout of industrial chain;Promote digital development and improve the digital industrial chain.
