| With the transition of China’s economic development from the "speed era" to the "quality era",the level of people’s consumption is constantly improving,and the market consumption structure is becoming increasingly complex.Traditional retail formats are no longer able to meet the high-quality and personalized new consumption needs.At the same time,a large number of enterprises have flooded into e-commerce channels with the rapid development of internet technology,and the e-commerce retail format is also facing enormous pressure.Therefore,whether it is the traditional retail industry or the pure e-commerce industry,they are trying to break through industry difficulties and obtain new economic growth points by optimizing their business models.The proposal of "new retail" coincides with the timing and points out a new direction for the transformation and development of the retail industry’s business model.As a leading enterprise in the leisure food industry,a branch of China’s retail industry,Three Squirrels continuously carry out research and development innovation and industrial upgrading,developing from online channels to offline channels,and gradually strengthening the integration of the two major channels with the logistics industry,which coincides with the development trend of the new retail business model.This article first introduces the background and significance of the research institute,and uses literature research methods to sort out domestic and foreign literature on the impact of new retail,business models,and the transformation of new retail business models on corporate performance.Based on this,the research content and methods are determined.Secondly,in-depth research was conducted on three squirrel transformation cases,using PEST analysis method and Porter’s Five Forces model as the basis to analyze the macro and micro motivations of their transformation,as well as their transformation process and strategies.Next,traditional financial indicator analysis methods are used to analyze the changes in four financial capabilities of the Three Squirrels before and after their transformation,both horizontally and vertically.The economic value added analysis method is combined to comprehensively reflect the financial performance of the Three Squirrels,and then the non-financial performance changes are evaluated.Finally,draw corresponding conclusions and recommendations based on the overall performance changes of the Three Squirrels.The research results indicate that the transformation of the new retail business model has a positive impact on the overall performance of the Three Squirrels.In terms of financial performance,the new retail business model has improved the profitability,operational ability,and debt paying ability of the Three Squirrels,reducing their development ability.The calculation results of economic value added indicate that their value creation ability has also been significantly enhanced.In terms of non-financial performance,the new retail business model has varying degrees of improvement on the market share,brand influence,and R&D innovation capabilities of the Three Squirrels.Based on the study of the transformation case of the new retail business model of Three Squirrels,this article proposes suggestions for expanding offline channels reasonably,improving store management system,controlling costs and reducing expenses,improving fund utilization efficiency,strictly controlling food safety,and achieving sustainable development of the enterprise,in order to provide valuable reference for the transformation and development of other leisure food enterprises. |
