Rural credit cooperatives are important regional financial institutions.In recent years,the deepening of interest rate liberalization reform has led to the continuous narrowing of interest rate spreads and the increasing pace of financial disintermediation.As a county-level rural credit cooperative,it is essential for K rural credit cooperative to continuously improve its operation and enhance its robustness in order to develop continuously in an increasingly severe environment.Asset business is the main source of income of commercial banks,and asset quality is an important factor affecting the sustainable and steady development of banks.This paper selects K Rural Credit Cooperative,a county-level regional small financial institution in western China,as the research object,and selects indicators from three dimensions of profitability,safety and liquidity as the standard to evaluate asset quality.At the same time,the relevant indicators of K rural Credit Cooperative and 5 listed rural commercial banks in 2021 are compared horizontally,and the development trend and advantages and disadvantages of various indicators of K rural credit cooperative are pointed out.Finally,through the principal component analysis method,the asset quality of K rural credit cooperative and other listed regional commercial banks is comprehensively evaluated.Through the study,it is found that the overall asset quality of K rural credit cooperatives is weak,which is specifically manifested in the poor profitability of assets,insufficient supply of credit assets,and high risk of credit assets.Finally,combined with the comparative advantages of K rural credit cooperatives,this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the asset quality,mainly including(1)improving the service system and improving customer viscosity.(2)Expand business channels.(3)Give full play to regional advantages.(4)Strengthen loan asset management.(5)Enrich the disposal methods of non-performing loans.
