Research On The Impact Of Investment And Trade Facilitation On Import And Export Trade In Hainan Province

In 2020,the CPC Central Committee and The State Council issued the Overall Pl-an for Building Hainan Free Trade Port.The goal is build Hainan into a high-level free trade port with strong international influence in an all-round way,and at the same time,the "Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port" issued by the State Council clearly mentioned the establishment of an institutional system focusing on investment and trade facilitation.Therefore,for Hainan Province,studying the impact of investment and trade facilitation on its import and export trade will have important theoretical and practical significance.In view of this,this paper studies the impact of investment and trade facilitation on the inbound and outbound trade of Hainan Province from two perspectives,qualitatively and quantitatively.Firstly,the relevant concepts of investment facilitation and trade facilitation are explained respectively,and the evaluation methods of international organizations are given,and the influence mechanism of investment and trade facilitation on import and export trade is analyzed by combing and summarizing the prior literature and theory.Secondly,the method of descriptive statistical analysis is used to describe the current situation of import and export trade and investment trade facilitation in Hainan Province,and the problems existing in the development process of both sides are explained.Thirdly,combined with the influence mechanism of investment and trade facilitation on import and export trade in Hainan Province and the availability of data,this paper constructs an index system for investment and trade facilitation including 4first-level indicators and 11 second-level indicators of government policy,business environment,infrastructure and e-commerce environment,respectively,uses the entropy weight method and factor analysis method to construct the index system,gives the specific investment and trade facilitation level index calculation formula,and finally uses the compromise method to obtain the investment and trade facilitation level index.Then,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of investment and trade facilitation on import and export trade in Hainan Province from the perspectives of overall and sub-index through panel regression model.The results show that,on the whole,investment and trade facilitation has a significant role in promoting the import and export trade of Hainan Province.From the perspective of sub-indicators,the four first-level indicators have a significant positive effect on import and export trade,of which infrastructure has the most obvious impact,followed by the business environment,and finally the e-commerce environment and government system.Finally,based on the above research results,this paper gives relevant suggestions from four perspectives: government policy,business environment,infrastructure and e-commerce environment.
