| Along with our economic development into the new stage,the innovation-driven development put forward higher requirements.According to the 14 th Five-Year Plan and the2035 vision,"We will further advance the development project of national strategic emerging industry clusters,establish and improve the organization,management and professional promotion mechanism of industrial clusters,build a complex of innovation and public services,and develop a number of strategic emerging industries with their own characteristics,complementary advantages and reasonable structure as growth engines." As an organizational form of innovation agglomeration,the agglomeration of strategic emerging industries and high-tech industries is dominated by technology and gathers various scientific and technological innovation resources to build regional core competitiveness through technology research and development,technology sharing,technology upgrading,knowledge spillover and diffusion.This provides a new idea and direction for the Northeast region to get rid of the development dilemma and realize the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure and high-quality economic development.This paper follows the research logic from theoretical analysis,feature analysis,empirical analysis to countermeasures and suggestions,and deeply discusses the regional economic growth effect of innovation agglomeration in Northeast China.In terms of theoretical analysis,this paper combs and analyzes the classical basic theories involved in the research object and the mechanism behind them.Meanwhile,it identifies the characteristics of innovation agglomeration and economic growth in Northeast China in an attempt to capture their changing trends and lay a theoretical foundation for the paper.In terms of empirical analysis,panel data of 34 prefecture-level cities in Northeast China from 2003 to 2019 are selected as research samples.Based on the spatial econometric model,the regional economic growth effect of innovation agglomeration in Northeast China is empirically analyzed.It includes spatial autocorrelation analysis,spatial effect analysis,mediation effect test and regional heterogeneity analysis.Finally,based on the results of the empirical tests,reasonable and targeted countermeasures are proposed for the development of the Northeast region based on its actual situation.The research finds that: First,the spatial distribution of innovation agglomeration level shows that there are regional differences in the level of innovation agglomeration in Northeast China,and with the promotion of knowledge spillover,the degree of innovation agglomeration is gradually strengthened.Secondly,the direct effect,indirect effect and total effect coefficient of innovation agglomeration on economic growth are significantly positive,that is,innovation agglomeration in Northeast China can effectively promote economic growth and is an important driving force of economic growth.Third,innovation agglomeration can not only directly promote economic growth,but also indirectly promote economic growth by improving regional total factor productivity,that is,in the path of innovation agglomeration promoting economic growth,total factor productivity plays a part of intermediary effect.Fourth,the lower the level of agglomeration,the greater the contribution of innovation agglomeration to regional economic growth,and the more conducive to the improvement of regional economic efficiency.At present,most cities in the Northeast are in a state of low agglomeration,and the analysis of regional heterogeneity further verifies the importance of innovation agglomeration for the Northeast. |
