The Research Of Relationship Between Northeast East Region’s Industrial Agglomeration And Economic Growth

One of the most remarkable characteristics of current world economic activities is economic agglomeration,and industrial agglomeration is the most distinctive form of economic agglomeration.Therefore,study on the relationship between industrial agglomeration and economic growth is very popular.As an important pole in the northeast economic plate of China,northeast east region is the area where it is from southern Dalian in Liaoning to the northern 201 State Road’s east of Hegang in Heilongjiang,east to northeast east’s China and North Korea,China and Russia’s border region.The region covers Dalian,Benxi,Dandong,Tonghua,Baishan,Changbai Mountain Administration Committee,Yanbian,Mudanjiang,Jixi,Qitaihe,Shuangyashan,Jiamusi,Hegang and other thirteen regions.How to give full play to the advantages of industrial agglomeration and promote the coordinated development of regional economics is a realistic task for the northeast east region.On the basis of sorting out the previous research results,this paper makes a research of present situation and relationship between northeast east region’s industrial agglomeration and economic growth.In the present situation analysis,first of all,using the industry concentration,H index,N index,Gini coefficient and location quotient,the paper calculates agglomeration degree of three industries and major industries and makes a comparative analysis about the calculation results and state the statuses of industrial agglomeration in northeast east region;Secondly,the paper analyzes level of economic development and economic disparities in regions from scale,speed and effectiveness and state the statuses of economic development in northeast east region.In the empirical research,first of all,according to the northeast east region ten years’ data from 2005 to 2014,the paper builds the general model of industrial agglomeration and economic growth and tests the relativity of agglomeration and economic growth of the first,second,third industry.The results show that three industrial agglomeration has a remarkable different effect on regional economic growth.The first industrial agglomeration every raises 1%,regional economic growth will increase 0.3233%.The second industrial agglomeration every raises 1%,regional economic growth will reduce 0.4060%.The third industrial agglomeration every raises 1%,regional economic growth will increase 0.5118%;Secondly,Combining Williamson hypothesis,the paper analyzes the non-linear relationship between northeast east region’s industrial agglomeration and economic growth.The results show that industrial agglomeration has a positive effect on regional economic growth in a certain range and industrial agglomeration will start to hinder the regional economic growth after exceeding a certain critical point.Among them,there is an inverted U type change relation between the first industrial agglomeration and regional economic growth,so is the third industrial agglomeration and regional economic growth.However,there is a U type change relation between the second industrial agglomeration and regional economic growth.The emergence of the above results are not only caused by the general law that industrial agglomeration plays an role in economy,but also due to the regional cause of northeast east region’s economic growth.This paper argues that northeast east region should break the geographical boundaries,increase cooperation and carry on industrial integration in whole region.And the development trend of prominent advantages,coordinated action and dislocation competition should be implemented.This requires that we structure border economic belt in northeast east region,promote industrial agglomeration harmoniously and guide regional industry to redistribution properly.This also requires that we form a supporting upstream and downstream interactive mechanism through industrial agglomeration,promote the adaptability and flexibility of product supply structure to demand structure,carry out the talent strategy actively,increase input in education,promote effectiveness of investment,give full play to the best effect of industrial agglomeration and ensure the sustainable development of northeast east region.
