Research On The Impact Mechanism Of Digital Economy On Common Prosperit

Common prosperity is the essential requirement of socialism and the inevitable path of Chinese modernization.But now,such as insufficient economic development momentum and large income gap between urban and rural areas need to be solved urgently.Relying on the innovation-driven digital economy,it provides a strong impetus to promote common prosperity.On the one hand,it can promote the transformation of production mode,speed up production,circulation,distribution and consumption,and make it possible to make the "cake" bigger and better;On the other hand,digital has the characteristics of inclusiveness and poverty alleviation.Through the spillover effect of technological knowledge,economies of scale,and optimization of labor capital allocation,it breaks the development barriers between urban and rural areas,and provides opportunities for dividing and cutting the "cake" well.Therefore,it is an topic to explore the realization path of digital economy to common prosperity.This paper focuses on the impact mechanism of digital economy on common prosperity.Based on the relevant panel data of 31 provinces and cities in China from2009 to 2020,the digital economy indicator system is constructed from the four levels.At the same time,the common prosperity is divided into two dimensions,namely,the level of economic development and the urban-rural income gap.The quantile regression,intermediary effect and spatial spillover effect are used to empirically study the impact of the two.The results show that:(1)The development level of digital economy can promote economic development and narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas,so as to strengthen the construction of common prosperity in China.(2)There is a nonlinear relationship between the digital economy and common prosperity.Specifically,the digital economy has a diminishing marginal impact on the level of economic development.It has a greater impact on the economic level of underdeveloped provinces and cities,while its impact on the urban-rural income gap shows an inverted "U" trend of increasing first and then decreasing,and it has the greatest impact on the provinces and cities with the urban-rural income gap at the middle and high levels.(3)From the perspective of intermediary mechanism,digital economy can expand and divide the "cake" of economy by upgrading the industrial structure and improving the quality of human capital.(4)The digital economy has obvious spatial spillover effect on common prosperity.The development of local digital economy will drive the economic development of neighboring provinces and narrow the urban-rural income gap of neighboring provinces and cities.Therefore,vigorously developing the digital economy between provinces and cities in China,constantly improving the factor market,accelerating regional connectivity,and making good use of industrial structure upgrading and enhancing the quality of human capital can help China achieve the goal of common prosperity as soon as possible.
