The capital market’s evolution has been increasingly standardized in recent times,and enterprises have been presented with a plethora of approaches to asset management.Spin-off and listing is one of the ways for enterprises to carry out asset management.Both at home and abroad,there are many enterprises through spin-off and listing to adjust the corporate structure,in order to promote the healthy operation of enterprises.The medical device industry,with its rapidly growing market scale and growing focus on health and the enhancement of living standards in recent years,has seen spin-off listings as a means of advancing the growth of its core business and alleviating financial strain.Should enterprises wish to reap the rewards of this,they must possess their own benefits to be distinguishable in the market.Therefore,our in-depth examination of whether the division and listing of businesses can have a beneficial effect on their performance is warranted.Based on the above background,this thesis takes the listing of minimally invasive medical split cardiac medicine as an example to conduct research.Summarizing existing research both domestically and abroad,this thesis employs a literature research method.Subsequently,the concept and theories of split listing are introduced,providing a theoretical basis for the research.Finally,the development status of the spin-off listing is outlined,and the spin-off process of the case company is expounded upon,in order to evaluate the impetus behind the spin-off listing of minimally invasive medical treatment.The event study method is employed in this thesis to demonstrate that the market response to the spin-off and listing of Minimally Invasive Medical has been relatively beneficial in the short term.Furthermore,through comparison,it can be concluded that the spin-off and listing have augmented the debt paying capacity,operational capability,profitability and expansion potential of Minimally Invasive Medical and its subsidiary Heart Medical.Finally,the research has yielded the following conclusions:(1)The spin-off and listing of core business is advantageous;(2)Listing spin-offs can enhance the financial success of businesses;(3)Listing spin-offs can satisfy the company’s financing requirements.This thesis,we can draw the following enlightenment:(1)The spin-off listing should clarify the needs of enterprises and do a good job of strategic planning;(2)Quality assets should be separated as far as possible;(3)Prepare for the follow-up development of financial performance.
