With the increase of the cost of production factors in China and the strengthening of the state’s environmental constraints,the advantages supporting the development of the manufacturing industry in the past continue to weaken.In this context,China proposes to speed up the transformation of old and new driving forces,change the past development mode of relying on cheap labor and land and other resources,to rely on innovation to drive economic growth Emerging technologies and manufacturing entity represented by the Internet economy depth fusion by formation of the new technology and new pattern contained and economic transformation and upgrading of new forms of innovation needs Therefore,further study of technology convergence effect mechanism of total factor productivity of manufacturing firms and put forward relevant suggestions,is of great significance to the development of manufacturing firms to achieve high quality.This thesis takes 593 A-share listed manufacturing firms from 2013 to 2019 as the research object.Firstly,based on the classical theory,this thesis discusses how technology convergence affects the total factor productivity of manufacturing firms by combing the relevant literatures at home and abroad.Secondly,the technology convergence degree of manufacturing firms is measured according to Simpson Index.Then,the total factor productivity of firms is measured and analyzed by LP and GMM methods.Finally,an empirical model is established to test the relationship between technology convergence and total factor productivity of manufacturing firms:(1)Technology convergence has a significant positive impact on total factor productivity of manufacturing firms.Heterogeneity analysis results show that compared with low-and medium-technology manufacturing firms technology convergence of high-tech manufacturing firms can improve the total factor productivity more obviously,compared with small manufacturing firms,technology convergence of large-and medium-sized manufacturing firms can promote the total factor productivity more obviously Compared with foreign manufacturing firms,technology convergence has a significant effect on the total factor productivity of state-owned and private manufacturing firms.(2)Human capital level and capital allocation efficiency have partial mediating effect between technology convergence and total factor productivity of manufacturing firms,and the partial mediating effect of human capital is greater.(3)There is a significant double threshold effect of dynamic capability on TFP.When the dynamic capability exceeds the first threshold value,the effect of technology convergence on TFP turns from negative to positive,but the positive effect is not significant.When the second threshold is crossed,technology convergence has a significant positive impact on total factor productivityInnovation point of this thesis is: One is to study the impact of technology convergence on the total factor productivity of manufacturing firms.The second is to sort out the intermediate path that technology convergence affects the total factor productivity of manufacturing firms.Third,dynamic capability is added into the research framework to explore the threshold effect of dynamic capability in the impact of technology convergence on manufacturing firms total factor productivity.This thesis enriched the research on technology convergence and total factor productivity from theory and demonstration,and provided reference for the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing firms. |
