Farmers’ Adoption Of Green Prevention And Control Technology And Market Performance Research

In recent years,China’s agricultural resources have been seriously damaged,people’s living environment has deteriorated,and the quality of agricultural products has become increasingly prominent.The application and promotion of green prevention and control technologies have just met the urgent needs of current rural development.Farmers are the users of green prevention and control technologies and the most critical cornerstone of the promotion of green prevention and control technologies.Therefore,it is necessary to study the impact of farmers’ adoption of green prevention and control technologies and their market performance,in order to explore the relationship between farmers’ market performance and the adoption of green agricultural prevention and control technologies,in order to provide effective support and guarantee for China’s agricultural development.Based on the cognitive behavior theory,farmer behavior theory and externality theory,this paper uses the microscopic data of 1338 pear growers in Xi County,Linfen County,Shanxi Province and Wei County,Xingtai County,Hebei Province,adopts the Heckman two-stage model,uses four different green prevention and control technologies as the indicator of farmers’ adoption of green prevention and control technology,and eliminates the selective bias of samples through the inverse Mills ratio,From the aspects of information acquisition and government policy,this paper studies its role in the decision-making and adoption of green prevention and control technology actions taken by farmers,and uses the propensity score matching method,taking whether farmers think green prevention and control technology is effective as the identification variable,to empirically test the effect of farmers’ different adoption of green prevention and control technology on farmers’ market performance,with a view to better understanding the decision-making and adoption of green prevention and control technology actions taken by farmers,So as to improve farmers’ market performance.The research shows that: 1)Pear growers have not adopted the green prevention and control technology enough.There are 658 farmers who only use one technology,accounting for the largest proportion of the whole sample,accounting for 49.18%.2)The degree of risk preference of farmers,the degree of fragmentation of plots and the training of fertilizer use have a positive role in promoting farmers’ decision-making behavior of adopting green prevention and control technologies;However,the ability of farmers to actively search for information and the number of times pears have been tested by the government will have a negative effect on the decision-making behavior of adopting agricultural green prevention and control technology;The education level of farmers,the number of computer equipment owned,the time to use the Internet,the guidance of experts and the participation in fertilizer training will positively promote the adoption of green prevention and control technology;However,the size of the family,the ability to actively collect information and the number of pear safety inspections will have a negative impact on the adoption of green prevention and control technology.3)The decision to adopt green prevention and control technology will make the market performance of farmers increase by 10.5%,and the market performance improvement effect of adopting different quantities of green prevention and control technology will also be different.The adoption of one,two,three and four technologies will improve the market performance of farmers by 6%,16.8%,27% and 35.3%respectively,that is,the adoption of more green prevention and control technologies can significantly improve the market performance of farmers,with obvious income increase effect.Accordingly,the following three suggestions are put forward.First,improve the cultural level of farmers in rural areas;Second,strengthen technology promotion and training in rural areas;Third,guide farmers to use the Internet correctly.In order to promote farmers to adopt green prevention and control technology and improve farmers’ market performance.
