The balance of the soil and water resource system is an important guarantee for the development of the agricultural industry,and the degree of matching between the bearing strength of soil and water resources and the agricultural industry is a prerequisite for the revitalization of the rural industry.Yan’an is a national pioneering area for high-quality development of soil and water conservation.It is important to clarify the status of agricultural soil and water resources endowment and agricultural industry development in Yan’an,to quantitatively measure and scientifically evaluate the level of agricultural soil and water resources carrying capacity and agricultural industry level,and to clarify the key factors limiting the carrying capacity of agricultural soil and water resources and the coordinated development of agricultural industry,so as to promote the high quality,efficient and green sustainable development of agriculture in Yan’an.This study takes Yan’an as the research object,analyses the evolution characteristics of the coupling between water and soil resources and the agricultural industry in Yan’an during 2010-2020,analyses the efficiency of its agricultural water and soil resources utilization,the level of agricultural industry development and the level of system coupling,discusses its coupling obstacles and puts forward relevant suggestions to promote the optimal development of the coupling between agricultural water and soil resources and the agricultural industry in Yan’an according to the current situation of regional development.The main findings of the paper are as follows:(1)This study clarifies the geographical differences between the bearing capacity of agricultural soil and water resources in Yan’an and the development of the agricultural industry.The entropy-weighted TOPSIS was used to quantify the agricultural soil and water resource bearing and agricultural industry development in each county(district)of Yan’an from 2010 to 2020.The results found that: the agricultural soil and water resource bearing in Yan’an was higher than the growth of the agricultural industry threshold,and the level of development of agricultural soil and water resources and agricultural industry in Yan’an increased slowly with time.Huanglong County has the highest ranking in the comprehensive development index of agricultural soil and water resource bearing,with a development index of 0.59 respectively;Yanchang County has the lowest ranking in the comprehensive development index of agricultural soil and water resource bearing,with a development index of 0.23;Luochuan County has the highest ranking in the comprehensive development index of agricultural industry,with a development index of 0.59;and Baota County has the lowest ranking in the comprehensive development index of agricultural industry,with a development index of 0.19.(2)This study evaluated the characteristics of the distribution of the coordination space distribution of agricultural soil and soil resources and industrial coupling of Yan’an.With the help of the coupling coordination degree model,the evolution of the coupling between agricultural soil and water resources and agricultural industry in each county(district)of Yan’an during 2010-2020 was analysed.The results found that the degree of coordination between agricultural soil and water resources and agricultural industry coupling in Yan’an ranged from 0.5 to 0.6 in each year,all of which were barely coordinated,with a stable development trend and an increasing trend over time.The spatial distribution of the degree of coordination between agricultural water and soil resources and industrial coupling in Yan’an is highest in the south,followed by the central part and lowest in the north.The analysis results show that since the implementation of rural revitalisation,Yan’an has achieved remarkable results in both agricultural soil and water resources and agricultural industries,optimising and improving the situation of agricultural soil and water resources,further accelerating the modernisation of rural development,and increasing the level of coupling between agricultural soil and water resources and agricultural industries.(3)This study clarified the obstacle factors affecting the relationship between the coupling of the soil and soil resources and the agricultural industry in Yan’an.Using the barrier degree method,the obstacle factors affecting the evolution of the coupling and coordination of agricultural water and soil resources and agricultural industry in Yan’an were identified,and it was found that the influence factor of agricultural water and soil resources bearing was the main obstacle factor affecting the evolution of the system,and the effective irrigated area of farmland is its most important component,with a barrier of 28.96%.
