In the context of the integration of digital technology and traditional trade in services, the study of digital trade in services of RCEP member states is of great significance for RCEP member states to better participate in the global division of labor and actively integrate into the global value chain. The main research object of this paper is the digital service trade of RCEP member states.Firstly, the negotiation process, framework and literature related to global value chain of RCEP are reviewed.Secondly,by analyzing the trade scale and structure of RCEP member countries,it is found that trade among RCEP member countries is close, and there are differences in the digital service trade sectors among member countries.Thirdly, based on the theories of value-added trade and global value chain, the export value of RCEP member countries at the level of digital service trade is decomposed by using the global multi-regional input-output model, and the participation degree, participation status and vertical specialization degree of the global value chain of RCEP member countries are calculated. Finally, the empirical analysis of factors influencing the division of labor status in digital services trade of RCEP member countries is conducted by building an econometric model. The results show that backward vertical specialization, forward vertical specialization, development degree of digital services trade and Internet use have positive impacts on the division status in global value chain of digital services trade. The export value added rate has a negative effect on the division of digital services in global value chain. In the post-COVID-19 era,RCEP countries need to actively accelerate the integration of digital services into the division of labor system of global value chains, focus on differences in digital services trade promotion policies, and explore and build capacity for collaborative transformation between manufacturing and digital services.
