In the life cycle engineering consulting projects,the characteristics of collaborative development among all participants in construction projects become more prominent,and its essence is the process of multi-team cross-border cooperation involving multi-stakeholder interaction and multi-knowledge fusion.However,in the process of project implementation,there are contradictions or opposing interest demands among the project participants,which seriously hinder the realization of the project objectives.The life cycle engineering consulting projects team,as a crossborder team occupying the key nodes of the project network,plays an important role in information transmission and coordination in multi-team cross-border activities,which plays a vital role in the success of the project.In view of this,from the perspective of social network,this study defines the cross-border behavior and its important role of the whole process engineering consulting project,and explores the way to realize the value increment of engineering projects under the intervention of the life cycle engineering consulting projects team.The research expects to reveal the interaction and internal mechanism among external network structure,boundary-spanning behavior and project performance from the perspective of social network through empirical analysis,so as to provide feasible and effective suggestions for the promotion and implementation of engineering consultation in the whole process.Based on the social network theory,the basic framework of "network structureboundary-spanning behavior-project value adding" is constructed,and two basic variables of the life cycle engineering consulting projects network structure-network centrality and network density are identified,and the cross-border behavior of the life cycle engineering consulting projects team is divided into three dimensions:ambassador,coordination conduct and scanning.Based on literature analysis and induction,this paper puts forward the research hypothesis of the relationship between the network structure,boundary-spanning behavior and project value adding of the life cycle engineering consulting projects,and constructs a conceptual model.By distributing questionnaires and collecting data in Tianjin,Shandong and Beijing,216 valid questionnaires were finally obtained.SPSS Statistics 22.0 was used to analyze and process the collected valid data,and to test the reliability and validity of each variable.The empirical research method of structural equation model is used,and the research hypothesis is tested and the results are analyzed by Smart PLS 3.0 statistical software.Through empirical analysis,the results are as follows:(1)Network density of the life cycle engineering consulting projects promotes value increment of engineering project.(2)Network centrality can only significantly promote scanning,while network density can significantly promote three dimensions of boundary-spanning behavior.(3)The coordination conduct and scanning of the life cycle engineering consulting projects team can significantly promote the project value adding.(4)The scanning of The life cycle engineering consulting projects team acts as a complete intermediary between network centrality and project value adding,while the scanning and coordination conduct act as a partial intermediary between network density and project value adding.Based on the social network theory,this study puts the key stakeholders of the life cycle engineering consulting project into the construction project network,and considers the influence of the project network structure characteristics on the project performance after the life cycle engineering consulting intervention from the perspective of network embedding,which expands the realization path of project value adding and provides a new way of thinking for popularizing the life cycle engineering consulting.On the basis of social network theory,the theoretical model of "network structure-boundary-spanning behavior-project performance" is constructed,which proves the intermediary role of boundary-spanning behavior between network structure and project performance,and makes a further exploration and attempt to explore the path of project value increment.
