In the context of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation,the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry is an important driving force for the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure.The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed that the construction of a modern industrial system should adhere to the focus of economic development on the real economy and promote the deep integration of modern service industry and advanced manufacturing.As the growth pole of our economic development,the Yangtze River Delta plays an important role in the national modernization.It has formed a relatively complete industrial chain supply chain system and has the foundation of industrial integration.However,there are still problems such as lack of innovation impetus and urgent adjustment of industrial distribution.In the new era of digital economy,the Yangtze River Delta has competitive advantages in industrial Internet,artificial intelligence,intelligent terminals and other fields,bringing new opportunities for the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry.Therefore,based on the overall trend and regional characteristics of the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry,this thesis discusses how digital transformation promotes the deep integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry.It is of great significance to realize the integrated development of Yangtze River Delta and build the modern industrial system.Based on relevant theories,this thesis summarizes the influence mechanism of digital transformation on the integration of advanced manufacturing industry and modern service industry,and uses the panel data of 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration from 2012 to 2021 to measure the integration level based on two integration paths of "the servitization of advanced manufacturing" and " the manufacturing of modern service industry".Kernel density estimation and natural breakpoint method were used to explore the dynamic evolution characteristics and spatial distribution pattern of the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Based on digital infrastructure,digital technology integration and digital application results,this thesis constructs digital transformation evaluation index system,uses entropy weight TOPSIS method to measure the level of digital transformation,and analyzes the status quo of digital transformation in various regions.On this basis,this thesis constructs a benchmark regression model to analyze the direct impact of digital transformation on the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry,and constructs a mediation effect model to analyze the indirect mechanism of digital transformation on the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry from the perspectives of supply side and demand side.Finally,based on the test of spatial correlation,this thesis investigates the spatial interaction effect among cities,and discusses the spatial spillover effect of digital transformation on the servitization of advanced manufacturing and the manufacturing of modern service industry.The results show that:(1)The digital transformation of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration has a good trend,and the digital transformation level of different regions is on the rise from 2012 to 2021.The digital transformation level of Shanghai leads,followed by Suzhou,Hangzhou,Nanjing and Wuxi.The digital transformation level of the Yangtze River Delta region is shown as Shanghai > Jiangsu > Zhejiang > Anhui.(2)The integration level of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is improving year by year,the servitization of advanced manufacturing is lower than the manufacturing of modern service industry,and the integration level of most cities is relatively low.Although there is a trend to eliminate the polarization phenomenon,the regional differences are still obvious.(3)Digital transformation has a significant promoting effect on the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry,which can promote the servitization of advanced manufacturing and the manufacturing of modern service industry,and the promoting effect shows an increasing trend of marginal effect with the improvement of integration level.(4)On the supply side,digital transformation promotes the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry by improving technological innovation ability,and on the demand side,promotes the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry by expanding consumption scale,and there is a mediating effect in promoting the servitization of advanced manufacturing and the manufacturing of modern service industry.The mediating effect on servitization of advanced manufacturing is more obvious.(5)The integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration forms a high agglomeration area with Shanghai,Suzhou,Wuxi and Nantong as the center,and a low agglomeration area represented by Bengbu,Fuyang and Bozhou.Digital transformation not only has local effect,but also can generate spatial spillover effect to promote the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry in neighboring cities.However,the heterogeneity of the neighborhood effect is obvious,which has no effective spatial spillover effect on the servitization of advanced manufacturing,but has positive spatial spillover effect on the manufacturing of modern service industry.According to the research conclusion,in order to realize the deep integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry,we should not only optimize the industrial spatial layout,strengthen the innovation and application of digital technology,but also take multiple measures to promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta by utilizing the two-way driving mechanism of the supply side and the demand side.
