With the improvement of living standards and income, consumers’ demand for high-quality agricultural products is increasing. This has led to a gradual shift in retail market competition from price competition to quality and service competition.Although cold chain logistics has developed rapidly in recent years,it is still difficult to provide full cold chain services and the service price is high.In order to strengthen quality control and reduce costs, some large retailers have built their own cold chain logistics for preservation. However, due to the irreparable quality of agricultural products, whether retailers preserve them depends on the preservation behavior of suppliers. At present,China’s origin cold chain facilities are lacking and suppliers’ preservation faces practical difficulties. In order to reduce the risk of decay, products are often sold through multiple channels after production to clear inventory as soon as possible.Especially for a class of agricultural products with a short listing period, retailers rely on their own cold chain preservation conditions to purchase large quantities in the early stage and sell at high prices in the later stage. In this context,it has important practical significance to study retailers’ inventory replenishment strategies based on different supplier strategy behaviors.Firstly, for a single offline channel, the retailer’s preservation behavior choice when facing different preservation strategies of suppliers is analyzed.A stock model is constructed by comprehensively considering factors such as deterioration rate, demand rate, preservation cost, holding cost, deterioration cost and wholesale price. The optimal replenishment cycle of retailers is solved and the influence of different preservation methods on retailers’ replenishment strategies and costs is analyzed.Secondly, the research perspective is turned to agricultural product e-commerce dual-channel sales. The strategic replenishment behavior of retailers facing channel competition is considered.Based on the deterioration inventory theory,a new inventory decision model is constructed and the optimal replenishment cycle is solved. The influence of strategic replenishment behavior on retailers’ inventory replenishment strategies under e-commerce background is analyzed. The following conclusions are drawn:(1)For preservation behavior in a single offline channel, under the condition that suppliers preserve freshness,if retailers do not preserve freshness, the replenishment cycle is only positively correlated with deterioration rate when demand rate is less than a certain threshold value;when both suppliers and retailers do not preserve freshness, the retailer’s replenishment cycle is shortest;when both preserve freshness, the replenishment cycle is longest. However, the inventory cost of suppliers preserving freshness while retailers not preserving freshness is not always lower than that of joint preservation by both parties and depends on the influence of deterioration cost, holding cost and retail price. If unit preservation cost is low, retailers can choose not to preserve freshness;if unit holding cost is high, retailers should jointly preserve freshness with suppliers.(2)For strategic replenishment behavior in dual channels, preservation cost has a great impact on replenishment cycle while inventory holding cost and wholesale price have little impact.Wholesale price has a negative correlation with retailer’s profit;reducing retail price will lead to shorter replenishment cycle and lower profit;reducing production cost by manufacturers will lead to shorter retailer’s replenishment cycle. When strategic replenishment rate is low, lower revenue sharing ratio can also increase retailer’s profit;adopting joint contract can further improve retailer’s profit.
