| Rural commercial banks are an important financial force for the economic development of rural areas in China,and have an irreplaceable position and function in promoting the cause of agriculture,rural areas,and farmers.In the increasingly competitive financial market,we are also actively expanding emerging businesses such as wealth management and credit cards.Although its credit card business has made initial development in recent years,it is still far behind other financial institutions.At present,it is still in the stage of simply assessing the number of cards.Credit risk,operational risk and compliance risk are still rising.In particular,after the COVID-19 in 2020,credit risk was further exposed,the overdue rate continued to rise,and asset quality declined,which seriously restricted the healthy development of credit card business.This article collects indicators such as the issuance status,approval status,and post loan management of GY Rural Commercial Bank’s credit cards,and analyzes the current situation,problems,and reasons of GY Rural Commercial Bank’s risk management based on its credit card overdue,non-performing,and cancellation data.Then,through descriptive statistics and logistic regression analysis,regression results are obtained,and solutions are proposed based on GY Rural Commercial Bank’s risk situation.During the research procedure,the following conclusions were achieved:1.The main risk is credit risk,mainly due to lax access during card issuance and inadequate post loan management.2.From the analysis results,there is a clear correlation between the customer’s age,marital status,credit line,cardholder’s registered residence and the nature of the company and the bank’s credit card overdue risk:(1)The younger the customer is,the greater the risk exposure of its credit card business,reflecting the current reality of debt consumption among young people;(2)Married customers have a higher credit default risk than unmarried groups;(3)Customers with higher credit limits have a greater risk of overdue payments than customers with lower credit limits;(4)The overdue risk of credit card customers in different regions is higher than that of local customers.This article proposes countermeasures and suggestions for the credit card business risks of GY Rural Commercial Bank from multiple aspects such as customer access,institutional construction,marketing assessment,and post loan management,in order to prevent various credit card risks and improve its credit card management level. |
