Under the new round of technological revolution,shared accommodation has become a new type of accommodation mode,gradually stepping into the daily life of the public.However,its rapid development is accompanied by various obstacles from various subjects.Customers and hosts are important subjects in shared accommodation.Due to the nature of shared accommodation,hosts and customers will be affected.As the owner and manager of shared accommodation,the most obvious manifestation of landlords is the change of interests,and the behavior of customers affects the sustainability of the entire industry,such as randomly moving items within the house.In recent years,the existence of customer misconduct has become an obstacle to the healthy development of shared accommodation.However,in understanding what factors affect customer misconduct under shared accommodation conditions,existing theoretical research and empirical analysis focus more on personal characteristics and the influence of others.In order to make up for the lack of research in this area,this article is based on relevant research on interpretive level theory,and based on the perspective of service providers,adopts questionnaire surveys,experimental design methods,and uses SMARTPLS and SPSS analysis software to explore the impact of service providers(personal hosts vs.professional hosts)on customer misconduct.From the perspectives of customers and hosts,this paper explores the moderating effects of hosts’ self disclosure and customer self construction on the relationship between service provider types(personal hosts vs.professional hosts)and customer misconduct.Through online questionnaires and experiments,it is found that perceived psychological proximity partially mediates the impact of service provider types(personal hosts vs.professional hosts)on customer misconduct.hosts self disclosure moderates the impact of service provider types(personal hosts vs.professional hosts)on customer misconduct.In addition,self-construction plays a moderating role in the impact of service provider types(personal hosts vs.professional hosts)on customer misconduct.Finally,the theoretical contributions and practical significance of shared accommodation are discussed.This study further enriches and expands the research on the antecedents of customer misconduct from a theoretical perspective,and expands the application field and scope of the interpretive level theory.The research results of this article provide the following enlightenment for platform managers and shared accommodation hosts to improve the platform’s coping ability;Don’t excessively pursue the development of professional hosts,and pay attention to the proportion of personal hosts;The platform should further strengthen platform advertising to stimulate customer interdependence and self construction;hosts can appropriately disclose personal information on the platform to increase interaction with customers.
