The global climate issue has become an important challenge to the development of human society,and protecting the environment and reducing pollution has become a common concern for all countries in the world.As a responsible country,China has made a lot of efforts in addressing climate change and promoting a green economy.China has actively fulfilled its commitment to reduce emissions,proposed a "twocarbon" green economy development goal and actively introduced various policies and developed effective measures to achieve sustainable development.On the one hand,science and technology innovation can effectively promote the upgrading of regional industrial structures,improve the efficiency of resource utilisation and enable highquality economic development;on the other hand,upgrading industrial structures can accumulate knowledge,adjust industrial structures and expand economic aggregates,all of which contribute to the improvement of the level of science and technology innovation.It can be seen that science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading are not two systems that develop independently,and there is an influence mechanism between the two systems that affects and promotes each other.This coordinated development mechanism is conducive to the development of green economy and the improvement of the green economic efficiency of the region.Therefore,this paper focuses on the impact of the synergy between science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading on the efficiency of green economy,and provides theoretical and practical reference for the country’s green economy development.Based on the theories related to science and technology innovation,industrial structure upgrading and green economic efficiency,this paper analyses the theoretical mechanism of coupling between science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading.This paper analyses the influence mechanism of science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading on green economic efficiency,measures the coupling degree of science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading based on panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2020,classifies the types of coupling.Based on this,a spatial econometric model is constructed to empirically study the relationship between the coupling degree of science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading and green economic efficiency.The research results show that there is a significant positive spatial correlation between green economic efficiency;the coupling degree of science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading has a significant direct effect and spatial spillover effect on green economic efficiency.The spatial spillover effect playing a major role;through heterogeneity analysis,it is found that in regions with higher development and coordination degrees of science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading.The coupling degree of science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading has a heterogeneity analysis reveals that in regions with a high degree of development and coordination between science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading,the coupling degree of science and technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading has no significant effect on the green economic efficiency of the region. |
