| ObjectivePeople contact the reasoning of every object (reasoning) and try to presume and establish unknown events after making comparison with known events. Such ability is innate and is used continuously in daily life. Traditional Chinese medical classics, such as "Yellow Emperor Medical Canon", "Treatise on Febrile Diseases", "Golden Chamber", etc., as well as theoretical system of modern traditional Chinese medicine, have been verified to have logical thinking context, which indicates that logical thinking actually occupies an important and indispensable role in the overall composition structure of traditional Chinese medical. TCM clinical reasoning process was conducted based on some cognitive and logical thinking forms. Without a systematic approach or thinking messy, it is likely to lead to the conclusion fallacy.Three logic systems are Greek logic, Chinese ink debate, and India logic. The main logic of Indian logic is Hetuvidya, which is also known as the Buddhist logic. Its main research areas are on epistemology, Perturbation theory, Because of the kind of learning and Negligence theory. The epistemology of the amount of logic science is a branch of knowledge to recognize object problems for the cognition and understanding of things contacted, which is similar to the TCM four diagnostic methods. Perturbation theory of Hetuvidya is the method to take and classify matters, being similar to analogy and induction after collecting syndrome symptoms. The logic reasoning of Because of the kind of learning of Hetuvidya is the methodological guideline for distinguishing true to false, and is similar to the analogy, collection, deduction, induction and other reasoning logic methods of syndrome differentiation and treatment. Negligence theory of Hetuvidya is to explore the mistake of cognitive reasoning and reasoning logic and to expose various forms and links missing during diagnosis and treatment process.Judging from the theoretical system of Zhang Zhongjing syndrome, the whole reasoning process of treatment based on syndrome differentiation and treatment of TCM) is imbued with analogy, collection, deduction, induction and other characteristics, which are basic and common logic analysis methods, while Hetuvidya logic likewise has these logical characteristics. Therefore, syndrome differentiation and treatment are suitable for the logical reasoning model combining with Hetuvidya logic to make argument and export the results. Hetuvidya logic is to develop a hypothetical conclusion and then backdate to prove the correctness of holding this conclusion; this certification process has specification and form of "back to reason from result", also known as normalized card reasoning.MethodThe operating process of treatment based on syndrome differentiation and treatment of TCM is a validation process of "governing exterior to infer interior", especially in the external representation of the symptoms as a syndrome; such determination of etiologic factors based on differentiation adopts the same way with Hetuvidya "back to reason from result" mode. The two are combined and begin from TCM collection of signs of syndrome symptoms to the generation of the final conclusion by the correct inference method; according to their inference methods and rules, analytic induction is finished to explore the truth of being the closest to disease essence, to establish disease, to develop suitable therapies and syndrome as well as prescription.Western Logic reasons right or wrong deduction settlement only in respect of the form, lacking in discussion and research in content and meaning. Then doctors’ thinking and resolving process in the face of problems in the theoretical system of Zhang Zhongjing syndrome is analyzed as for how to combine with the disease diagnosis applied clinically and provide the scientific value of another thinking level of disease diagnosis.ResultThe syndrome symptom inside and outside can be obtained as the research object according to four diagnostic methods of TCM through the combination of Hetuvidya logic with the reasoning mechanism of treatment based on syndrome differentiation and treatment of TCM. Each syndrome symptom possesses many kinds of possibility of multiple syndrome type; the more the symptom group information data are, the more sufficient the evidence is, and reasoning results will be inclined to facts. Through logic law and rule inference, symptom group is conducted by analogy, screening, elimination and induction to predict the essential changes of the internal black-box pathology, to combine with the corresponding etiology and pathogenesis each syndrome symptom for deduction, and then to sum up the overall etiology and pathogenesis, diseases and syndrome as well as prescription.In the process of syndrome differentiation, doctors could directly reason some kind disease and syndrome or syndrome of decoction by virtue of the preliminary speculations from the cumulative clinical experience after obtaining several groups of symptom information from patients. Doctors know what the basic symptoms of syndrome of decoction with their expertise before medical consultation. But through the process of syndrome differentiation after medical consultation, they could diagnose what syndrome or syndrome of decoction patients have, to establish the imperial family that is conclusion for the process of determination of etiologic factors based on differentiation. Then through etiology and pathogenesis treatment of because branch, to connect the relation between the syndrome symptom and syndrome of decoction to verify its legitimacy.ConclusionSince the patient’s disease and syndrome have been assumed, to begin to reason the reasonable justification of treating the disease and syndrome by using this method. This is to reason why using this prescription for treatment and why it’s applicable to the disease and syndrome based on what kind of pathogenesis and what treatment method principle. And according to patients’ different situations, make different adjustments and amendments to applicable prescription at any time.The research objects of Hetuvidya negligence theory in the content of the research mainly refer to those relating to misdiagnosis and mistreatment in the provisions of "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" and "Golden Chamber", which can be generally divided into two categories; one is error in the provision itself indicated by Zhongjing and the other is error caused by biography writing and fall off, which can be found in some revised notes in "Medical case of gold Kam". This part discusses that doctors must follow the common law of various thinking logic in the clinical diagnosis and treatment, otherwise misdiagnosis or mistreatment will be easily caused.The application and discussion of Hetuvidya in TCM in the present study is just a starting point for development, and it’s hoped that there will be more good arguments elaboration and discussion to be presented. |
