Study On Qingtong Capsule In Preventing And Treating Restenosis After Coronary Angioplasty

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect and mechanism of Qingtong Capsule (QTC) in preventing and treating restenosis after coronary angioplasty. Methods: Sixty - two patients of coronary heart disease (CHD) with successful angioplasty and stenting were randomly divided into the herbal group (32 cases) and the control group(30 cases) . They were observed systematically; The restenosis models were developed by implantation of oversized stent in arteries of mini - pigs to see what was influenced by QTC. Result: QTC can lessen clinical symptoms. The angiographs of the following - up six months show the occurrence of restenosis was significantly different between the herbal group and the control group (P < 0.01) . Restenosis in herbal group was 5 out of 32 and 12 out of 30 in the control one. QTC can decrease lipid and lower hypertension, improve myocardial function and better ischemic heart; The animal experiments show QTC can lower the lever of interleukin - 6 and P - se-lectin, balance TXB2/6 - keto - PGF1a, decrease endothelin and enhance nitric oxide. Conclusion: QTC can prevent and treat restenosis by the way of lowering inflammatory reaction, controlling pktelet being actived, descending lipid being excessive - oxidized, reducing the lesion of endothelium and consequently restraining the proliferation of smooth muscle cells, excessive extra cellular and the negative remodeling of the vessel.
