PART 1 Study of the psychological characteristics forchildren with attention deficit hyperactivity disorderObjectiveTo explore the psychological characteristics for 8~12 years-oldchildren with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.MethodsParents or 70 children with ADHD and 45 controls were evaluatedwith BIS,CBCL,SCARED,DSRSC,PHCSCS,KMS,CLS,CSD,TMD and WCST.ResultsThe children with ADHD showed significantly more impulsivity, higher anxious mood and depressive mood and more loneliness, andshowed significantly lower social desirability,self- concept, timemanagement disposition. Children with ADHD showed significantlymore negative opinion to others. Children with ADHD showed evidentinternalizing, externalizing behaviors and social dysfunction(P<0.05~0.01)ConclusionChildren with ADHD existed obvious cognitive, emotional, behavioral problems and lower self-esteem,achievement motivation and social dysfunction。PARTⅡ: The study of the character of auditory P300 ofchildren with attention deficit hyperactivity disorderObjectiveTo investigate the character of auditory P300 of attention deficit andhyperactivity disorder。MethodsThere were 18 ADHD children and 13 normal controls recordedand compared by P300 in Fz,Cz,,C3,,C4,Pz,F3,F4。Results1. Although ADHD group showed later latencies, there were nosignificantly differences between the two groups (P>0.05)。2. ADHD group showed decreased amplitudes(P z)than controls(P<0.01)。3. The topography of P300 in ADHD group showed lateralizedConclusionThe finding suggest that children with ADHD have cognitivefunction deficit, there are some P300 differences between children with ADHD and controlsPARTⅢ: Study of mechanism of impulsivity for childrenwith attention deficit hyperactivity disorderObjectiveTo explore the influential factors and mechanism of impulsivity for8~12 years-old children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder。MethodsParents or 39 impulsive children with ADHD,31 non-impulsivechildren with ADHD and 45 controls were evaluated with BIS,CBCL,SCARED,DSRSC,PHCSCS,KMS,CLS,CSD,TMD and WCST.Results1. 39 impulsive children with ADHD showed significantly moreimpulsivity, higher anxious mood and depressive mood and moreloneliness, and showed significantly lower social desirability,self-concept,time management disposition. Children with ADHD showedevident internalizing, externalizing behaviors and social dysfunction (P<0.05~0.01);2. Significantly positive correlation was found between impulsivityand internalizing, extemalizing behaviors, anxious mood, depressivemood, loneliness; Significantly negative correlation was found betweenimpulsivity and social competence, social desirability,self-concept,time management disposition,non-persistence errors (P<0.05~0.01);3. Social desirability, non-persistence errors and the total score oftime management disposition can predict the occurrence of impulsivityand explain about 47%variation of impulsivity。ConclusionImpulsivity of children with ADHD concerned with thecharacteristics of cognition, emotion and behavior; Social desirability,non-persistence errors and the total score of time managementdisposition can predict the occurrence of impulsivity。PARTⅣ: An intervention study of self-control training inimpulsive children with attention deficithyperactivity disorderObjectiveTo explore the methods of self-control training in impulsive children with ADHD and to evaluate the effect of the training: SCT would cutdown impulsivity and improve prognosis.Methods21 impulsive children with ADHD were treated by integrativetherapy based on self-control training for 9 weeks, The BIS, PSQ andCBCL were used to evaluate the effect of therapy.Results1. Impulsive children with ADHD were detected decrease inimpulsive behavior (P<0.01);2. Impulsive children with ADHD were detected decrease ininternalizing, externalizing problems and enhancement in socialcompetence (P<0.05~0.01);3. Impulsive children with ADHD were detected decrease inanxious mood (P<0.05).ConclusionSCT is suit for impulsive children with ADHD, and is one of thepsychotherapy for child.
