The Pharmacy And Pharmacology Of New-typed Compound Medicine Yajing Capsule: Quality Criteria, Acute Toxicity, Antihypertensive, Antidepressant And Anxiolytic Effects

For the hypertensive patients with anxious or depressant symptoms, we designed a new-typed compound medicine named Yajing capsule made of irbesartan ,hydrochlorothiazide,Zhimu(anemarrhenae),Baihe(lily), and investigated the quality Criteria, acute toxicity, antihypertensive, antidepressant and anxiolytic effects of Yajing capsule. The quality standard of Yajing capsule is consistent with the demand of Chinese pharmacopoeia (2005 edition).Yajing capsule had acute and chronic dose-depent antihypertensive effect on the hypertensive rats, and the antihypertensive effect lasted at least 8 hours. Yajing capsule had the protective effects on target organ damage (TOD), such as heart, kidney. The Zhimu/Baihe increased the antihypertensive effect of irbesartan/hydrochlorothiazide and improved the protective effects of irbesartan/hydrochlorothiazide on TOD significantly. Yajing capsule had not direct effect on the contraction and relaxation function in the heart of spontaneously hypertensive rats.Yajing capsule had antidepressant and anxiolytic effects and these effects mainly came from the ingredient Zhimu/Baihe. Yajing capsule did not increase the ingredients side-effect related with drug combination.
