[Objective] To observe the clinical effects of treating migraine with the combination of scalp acupuncture and Craniosacral Therapy.[Methods] Ninety cases of migraine were randomly divided into 3 groups,30 in pure scalp acupuncture group (Group A),30 in pure craniosacral treatment group (Group B) and 30 in the comprehensive treatment group (Group C), were treated by scalp acupuncture, craniosacral treatment and the combination of the two therapies respectively. Treatments were administered once two days for 4 weeks. Observations including the clinical effectiveness, the assessment scores of Pain Scale and the untoward side effects. All the data were processed by SPSS 17.0 soft ware for windows.[Results] There was not any difference of the curative effect among the scalp acupuncture treatment group, craniosacral treatment group and the combination treatment group at the end of forth weekend (P>0.05)After 4 weeks'treatment, the scores of Pain Scale decreased obviously in all three groups after treatment (P<0.001). Also the scores of the sub-factors, the seizure times, painful degree, painful consistent time and the accompanied signs decreased obviously in all the three groups (P<0.001) The statistics process further showed, compared with that of craniosacral therapy, scalp acupuncture and the comprehensive treatment were better in decreasing the total pain sore (P<0.05), but there was not any difference between the scalp acupuncture and the comprehensive treatment. And there were not any differences among the three groups in the changes of the seizure times, painful degree, painful consistent time and the accompanied signs (P>0.05)[Conclusion] Pure scalp acupuncture, pure craniosacral treatment and their combination could treat migraine effectively. The comparison showed that scalp acupuncture and the comprehensive treatment were better in decreasing the total pain score.
