Atherosclerosis is a pathological change of the whole body. Detecting the course of the peripheral arteriosclerosis may be regarded as the "window" of reflecting coronary arteriosclerosis. This subject was a series studying of animal, epidemiology and clinical experimentation with the view of investigating the relationship of peripheral and coronary arteriosclerosis.Part I was about animal experimentation. Carotid artery morphologic change induced by hypertension — the important risk factor of coronary heart disease was emphatically studied contrasting ultrasound with pathology in this part.
