The story book The Outlaws of the Marsh and Dream of the red Chamber are the most famous classical stories in Chinese history, and also the two of distinctness in gender poetics, contrast this two stories, the story The Outlaws of the Marsh is full of the masculine spirit, and the story Dream of the red Chamber is full of gracefulness and tenderness. For the different background, the view of gender is diverse between these two stories. One advocates masculinity and restrains gracefulness, while the other advocates gracefulness and restrain masculinity. The Outlaws of the Marsh upholds a conquest legend of hero worship during mediaeval times, and Dream of the red Chamber upholds freedom of humanism and pure love. These two stories symbolize the two peaks of the Chinese classical stories in gender consciousness. Analyzing the gender consciousness of this stories, one can find out the development of view of gender changed during feudal society, then directed to civilization, and also validate the strengthened women consciousness.Besides, to express the gender consciousness, some basic art techniques were used in two different stories. With the taste of nation, the two stories take on the strong emotional characteristics. Visualization of personality seeks multivariate expression, such as environment, emotion, clothing etc. which were used as the artistic conception. The same art skill advanced the peruse taste of reader, making the stories reach the high level status, all of which make the expression of relationship with gender getting beautification, purity and emphasis. In part three the author will dissertate the same art skill between this two books.Except the art skill, the most distinct characteristic of these two works are art skills in expression of gender conception. The Outlaws of the Marsh succeeds tradition, on the basis of masculine spirit of heroic temperament, adopts excessive writing technique, such as concept, scenario, structure, word etc., then pushing the sturdiness, generosity, and brave spirits of the heroes to a new level in aesthetics, and also the art impression.
