People not only live in a simple material world but also live in the world of a meaning at the same time, each aspect of human culture, is that the mankind expands the world efforts of the meaning. Products, as one of a great deal of achievements of the human cultural activity, are carriers and symbols of meaning too, and it bare the weight of meaning's transmitting and communicating. Products and its formed implements culture, can not only impact people's behavior directly through its vision language, but also can influence people's emotion by implication existence. At present, the meaning question has already become a hot question in the product design. Make a general survey of the product design of near decades, post-modernism, new modernism, constructionism, deconstruction,etc. are all launched around the meaning question of the products. In fact, various kinds of exploring activity carried on designing in history , can all regard as pursue the difference meanings of the products. Though each style and genre has it's own meaning theory, but it's a pity that they have not carried on research to this question itself of meaning of the products.Adopting the view of Semiology and the analytical method of phenomenology, this article carry on research to the meaning of the products. This research start with the concept explaining and the idea reviewing, summarize three meanings characteristic of the products; divide the hiberarchy of the meaning of the products; explain concrete products form semanteme, and put forward much principles about the products semanteme molding. At last, this article analyzes the question of semanteme cognizing and the emotion experiencing of the form of the products. The writing purpose of this article lies in remedying the deficiency in probing into the meaning of the products of other design theories; constructing an effective method system that designer can touch the design itself directly through the presentational existence. By this method system, offer the products meaning's understanding guidelines and products instructing principle of rational modeling. In the contemporary society of people pay much attention to sensibility demand, I hope that the research of this text can impel the designer to survey the question of designing closely from a brand-new visual angle, and benefit the shape-designing of the products.
