Now, cold-formed steel is a low energy light thin-walled steel cross-section, which is widely used in various fields of national economy. Roll forming is not only an important method of production of cold-formed steel, but also a complex method of the steel processing. The complexity shown in the deformation processes is the material, geometry and exposure of the border and a series of non-linear elasto-plastic large deformation, and there are many influential factors on the deformation process. Therefore, the roll forming process of in-depth, systematic theoretical study reveals the shape deformation rule, and develops a suit of simulating the process of shaping and instructs computer-aided design software of practical production process, which have both significant theoretical significance and some practical value.Multi-Agent system originated in distributed artificial intelligence, and developed from the exploratory research to practical direction. Agent organization is a special form of multi-Agent system, Agent-based solution can reduce the system internal conflicts, and expand the individual Agent's cognitive ability and physical ability. Multi-Agent theory and technology applied to the analysis and research of cold forming process, which is able to improve the analysis of cold forming process information and intelligence level.Firstly, Agent and multi-Agent systems research and application status was analyzed, in special, the application status of manufacturing and other related fields. On the roll forming technology, forming the molding process of information theory and the research progress and cold-formed steel production status were summarized in this paper.Secondly, the organizational structure of the agent layer of abstraction, the instance layer, the instance process and mechanism of agent organization is constructed by analyzing agent organization. Agent communication is between the within of agent organization or different organizations to achieve knowledge and information sharing, interaction and consultation, and is a fundamental way of division of labor to solve complex problems. Choosing Language KQML as communicating language by deeply studying a variety of agent communication language, and expanding the KQML primitives based on the application demands of spline finite strip method.Afterwards, the modified Lagrangian method based on elastic-plastic large deformation spline finite strip and the corresponding computed column type is future improved by combining with the characteristics of agent organizations. In order to improve the system efficiency by ensuring the accuracy of computing, on the basis of regional sharing spline, choosing the contact characteristics finite strip, and analyzing the characteristic finite strip which impacted on the non-characteristic finite strip.Finally, applying the spline finite strip method to agent organization, and spline finite strip method model is established based on agent organization. On the basis of roll forming theory in knowledge repository, integrating the roll forming design with numerical simulation organically, an intelligent computer-aided design simulation system was established. Simulating the forming process of the normal channel by using the spline finite strip system, and verifying the correctness of the spline finite strip method model by comparing the results with document data.
