A Study On The Group Of Journalists In Yan’an Jiefang Daily

As the organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,the Liberation Daily in Yan’an had an important historical contribution from its birth and development until it ceased publication.During the initial period of the newspaper,in accordance with the allocation of the Party organization,three groups of people-propaganda cadres of the CPC Central Committee,intellectual youths from the National Unification Area and grassroots work in the Shaanxi-Ganjiang-Ningxia border area-entered the newspaper and achieved initial convergence.When the newspaper groups initially converged,there were differences and discomfort in ideology,work attitudes,and living habits,and they were simply mechanically converged,lacking a sense of collectivity and cohesion.In February 1942,against the backdrop of a full-scale rectification study,the newspaper was transformed and improved in terms of its internal system,ideology and production,and journalistic practices,which strongly addressed the issue of disconnection among newspaper people and promoted a high degree of integration among the newspaper community.The main manifestations are: in terms of class identity,firm proletarian ideals and beliefs.In the professional identity,adhere to the Marxist concept of journalism.In terms of internal identity,to establish an equal and harmonious group relationship.This united and collaborative press team not only pushed the Party’s journalism theory and business to maturity during the Yan’an period,but also continued the fine tradition of journalism into the Liberation War and the New China period.After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945,the newspaper staff of the Liberation Daily either moved to the press positions in major liberated areas or joined the Xinhua News Agency,becoming the newspaper staff of the liberated areas with the gene of running newspapers in Yan’an.In the complex and dangerous struggle environment,the newspaper people inherited the fine tradition of Yan’an,always cared about the Party’s policy,adhered to the proletarian journalistic ideology,carried forward the style of hard work,inherited the spirit of solidarity and cooperation,and showed the high sense of responsibility of the proletarian journalistic fighters.With the victory of the Liberation War,the newspaper people advanced into the major newly liberated cities,taking over the urban news business,strengthening the training of business backbone,familiar with urban interview skills,and adapt to the new changes in journalism.After the founding of New China in 1949,the people of the Liberation Daily had already accumulated profound business experience.They continued the tradition of journalism in Yan’an,took the lead,took up important responsibilities,became the leader and conductor of the new Chinese party newspaper business,communication business and broadcasting business,and responded to the development of the times,improved political observation,concentrated their strengths,brought into play their collective wisdom,constantly summarized new experiences and new achievements in journalism,opened the way for the development of the new Chinese party journalism,and contributed important and solid talent guarantee.
