| Regional economy disparity is an objective phenomenon in the development of the human society, and the government, researchers and people are worrying about it all the time. Some researchers think it as a social problem, some think it as an economic problem, and others think it as a mixture of society and economy. As a result, the point of view is different. Henan is a large province of near 100 million population, which economy has grown very fast since the reforms. However, the divergence of regional ecomomy divergence in Henan province became more and more obvious from 1992 to 2002 and should be paid necessary attention.According to the statistical analysis of regional economy developmeht, especially in county level, with 127 county of Henan province ,this article discusses quantitatively and qualitatively the characteristics of dynamic variation and the spatial pattern of regional economic differences and relationship between growth rato of gdp per capital and economic differences from 1992 to 2002. Through GIS and theory of regional economy, with the aid of spatial and statistical model of GIS, spatial pattern and chang of regional economy differences of counties in Henan are discussed. With the aid of SPSS, the difference of 127 counties of comprehensive economic level and growth is thoroughly studied and classlied. On the basis of above analysis, regional economy development and gdp per capital are forecasted and cause of regional economy development is put forwarded and influence facators are analyzed.Through the above study this paper draw the following conclusion :In the study period,the absolute discrepancy of counties in Henan is larger and larger ,the relative discrepancy is littler and littler when time is past; change of the relative discrepancy is accord with speed of economy growth.structure of spatial distribution is relatively steady. Structure of spatial distribution is as follows : undeveloped counties take predominant; in the north of longhai railway and west of jingguang railway .developedcounties take predominant ; in the south of longhai railway or east of jingguang railway .undeveloped counties take predominant ; economic level of counties located in traffic pivot or railway is higher than other counties ; compare to counties located in railway , economic level of the counties located in border is lower; economic level of regiona cities is higher than other counties; In the distribution of undeveloped counties there are distribution of developed counties. Regional disparity in henan province is larger and larger , The rich become richer and the poor become poorer when time is past.poles of economy have formed and axis of economy have emerged , area of developed and undeveloped counties all become lager and larger, with the aid of SPSS , this paper classifies counties into sixteen categories by using their development status in 1992 and their growth rates from 1992 to 2002. We have concluded that mechanism to lead to region difference of henan province is difference of groth speed , if groth speed of developed counties is quicker than undeveloped counties , region difference of henan province will enlarge , otherwise , thing will be reverse .On the basis of above studies, politic suggestions to adjust and control this economic divergence is put forward: Firstly, on the one hand we must maintain efficiency in advance, on the other hand we must face regional economic differences. Secondly, Spatial construch of regional divergence must be improved through increase economic centre and axis of region. Thirdly, it is necessary for government to take part in establish policy for blance development.
