Timing problem has become one of the new and difficult points in the research of GIS. The thesis gives a new way to the management of spatial database with version and temporal data. The contents include ⑴ According to the description of spatial and temporal topological relationships, the thesis sets forth the integrating expression of spatio-temporal topological relationships. ⑵ Listing the version changed process tables of spatial data (node , arc , line , space , complex entity and their topological relationships ) and attribute data with object-oriented, the thesis offers the theoretical base for the designing of spatio-temporal data model. ⑶ The thesis introduces a structure of database system based on time, which reduces the data redundance. ⑷ The thesis puts forward the multi-user , multi-version , multi-temporal pattern database management. It also gives a new method to spatial database management and renovation.
