The evaluation and zoning of the engineering geology of the urban foundation is important task for urban engineering geology research, plan and construction. Connecting with the construction, engineering geological zoning and assessment of urban geoenvironmental were studied by many domestic scholars. These provide reliable information for urban construction.Firstly, according to detailed ground survey, the city of ZhengZhou was divided into alluvial-proluvial plain and flood plain. Also, alluvial-proluvial plain can be detail divided into alluvial-proluvial plain and alluvial plain.Application of the principle of sequence stratigraphy, study of foundation soil of ZhengZhou city was carried on. The types of genesis are alluvial-proluvial debris, channel deposit, interchannel deposit and flood plain. Three parasequence groups can be identified in shallow strata of studied area; simultaneously, alluvial-proluvial debris, alluvial plain and flood plain occur succession development. The distributions have similarity in space.According to ground bearing capacity of the ZhengZhou City zoning, urban construction site in ZhengZhou were classified into good, nether good, medium and inferior.Application to the gray correlation analysis, evaluated ZhengZhou foundation engineering geological characteristics of the physical and mechanical properties of the most influential factor. Combining with qualitative variables, the mathematical evaluation of the quantity theoryâ…¡model from a theoretical model of the engineering geological characteristics of discrininant sores. ZhengZhou engineering geological characteristics of the rock foundation were evaluated and divided.The integrated evaluation and zoning of engineering geology characteristics of rock-soil rock was made by comprehensive analysis of characteristics of ZhengZhou rock engineering, based on topography, foundation soil bearing capacity and the use of quantitative model. ZhengZhou was divided into alluvial-proluvial plain and flood plain and the engineering geology subdivisions were identified.According to city building features, and geotchnical engineering investigation revealed deep excavation, the rock types in different regions. A comprehensive analysis and evaluation were excuted on the use ability and adaptability of district division.
