The prediction of seismic disaster is related to the life and the wealth of the public, so it is an important basic job for seismic hazard prevention. Direct seismic damage maybe doesn't have so much influence to the performance status of the dam in a short time after the earthquake, but the serious secondary disaster may be produced because of no quick examination and no proper remedial measures. 86 thousand dams of kinds have been built in our country, and most are middle or small earth rock dams. In those dams, earth dams are about 90 percent. The references are provided for seismic design and danger elimination and reinforcement through the results of seismic disaster prediction in earth dam. At the same time, the prediction of seismic disaster is also an important content of the seismic planning. Therefore, there are important theoretical significance and engineering value to study on seismic damage evaluation model of the dam and software system.Different evaluation models with different detail degrees of the dam information are researched, for fast and accurate evaluating the damage states of the dam engineering under earthquake force. Three evaluation models of dam damage and a dam-break judgment model are introduced, then the improved dam damage empirical statistical judgment model is mainly stated and the software system of seismic disaster prediction in dams is developed. The information of some dams investigated from Wenchuan earthquake are evaluated and analyzed to the results, using the improved empirical statistical judgment model of dam damage, the original empirical statistical judgment model and the deduction judgment model.Main research works include:1,The necessity of the study on seismic disaster prediction in earth dam is introduced, the development and state of seismic disaster prediction are briefly discussed. The empirical statistical judgment model of professor Yuan Yifan is also described.2,The improved empirical statistical judgment model of dam damage is studied deeply, and based on the empirical statistical judgment model, the more rational influence factors of earthquake damage in earth dam are chosen, the least square method and Matlab software are used to renewedly make regression analysis to the earthquake damage data of earth dams. On this basis, two judgment models are introduced, one is of the earthquake emergency database, the other is of deduction.3,The software system of seismic disaster prediction in dams is developed through combination of VB software, Access database and Excel form, which includes three evaluation models of dam damage and a dam-break judgment model.4,236 dams in Wenchuan Earthquake are analyzed. The dams with more complete information are compared to analyze by using improved and original empirical statistical judgment model and other dams are analyzed by the deduction judgment model. The results are analyzed by comparing with the real seismic damages and the reliability of the judgment model and software system is verified by the results.
