Regional geological survey has always been important significance of the various areas of the basic and public Geological work of national economic construction of welfare. In the rapid development of the modern information technology and space technology today, The process of digitization of regional geological survey has become an inevitable trend, it can achieve better information sharing and data updates, for geological work.Digital geological mapping has promoted the development of open and steady in our country, but still there are some inadequacies, these deficiencies affect the accuracy and speed of our mapping work, is not conducive to the digital geological mapping of the further development. In this paper, such as by summing up the projects of 1:50000 regional geological survey in MingShan town of Sichuan Province, combined with the working methods of digital geological mapping, a comprehensive study on problems of the three parts of work from the field data collection, collation of data to indoor and then to establish the database of final 1: 50,000 Geological map. to Discuss the reasons for these problems and propose solutions.Through research, this article affirms the method of digital geological mapping in comparison to traditional methods of regional geological mapping of the advantages, but does not mean that the digital geological mapping method is not defective. The article cited a projection conversion, field data collection, generate profiles and histograms and other issues. On the one hand, reflects the hardware and software limitations of digital geological mapping, on the other hand, the discussion of these issues to the future work of the digital geological mapping as a reference. I hope in the future the digital geological mapping process, we can less detours, better and faster to carry out the future work of digital geological mapping to support the smooth.
