With a higher level of China's information technology,digital technology,networktechnology as the representatives of information technology has infiltrated into the urbanplanning,construction and management and urban production and life and so on.Theconstruction of residential quarters as an urban basic living unit are also started throughout thecountry with the developing of digital earth and digital urban.The environment of people liveand work is a three-dimensional space,in order to achieve true digitalcommunities,three-dimensional GIS applications will become the primary work to achieve itsobjectives.Three-dimensional expression of the community can give people a more realisticfeel,it shows three-dimensional modeling technology to the users of geospatialphenomena,not only to express spatial relationships between objects of the plane,but also todescribe and express the vertical relationship between them;It's Specific features thatthree-dimensional spatial analysis and operation to three-dimensional digitalcommunity-specific features,so the construction of three-dimensional digital community willbe imperative.Three-dimensional GIS is currently the GIS industry to study the hot spot athome and abroad,establish three-dimensional landscape models and achievethree-dimensional GIS on this basis,not only have broad prospects for development in urbanplanning and management,planning and design,municipal construction,residential propertydevelopment,land monitoring and management,environmental monitoring andevaluation,geological disaster prevention and urban sustainable development strategy studyand formulation,but also in other analysis,evaluation,decision-making and other departmentshave a positive practical significance.As the two-dimensional GIS is based on an abstractsymbol systems which can not give people a kind of primitive feelings of nature,so the studyof digital cities from the traditional two-dimensional GIS technology transition to the research of three-dimensional simulation model based on GIS, faced to user with three-dimensionalmodeling technology and oriented display of geo-spatial phenomena, so that users havefeeling of by themselves.The establishment of three-dimensional model is the basic of three-dimensional digitalcommunity building. Three dimensional digital Community model is based on computertechnology, three-dimensional simulation technology and multimedia technology, storagespace information and management information use database technology to achieve therebuilding in three-dimensional virtual environment reconstruction. Throughthree-dimensional GIS, to complete a number of analyzed which two-dimensional GIS cannot do and achieve real-time view of the three-dimensional scene. In the three-dimensionalvirtual environment, people can use the way of dynamically interact to conduct a full range ofimmersive look can choose and freedom to switch multi-sports mode; also free rein browseline and real-time switch comparison of variety of environmental effects, Its human-computerinteraction, the real sense of architectural space and colorful environmental effects, areunmatched by two-dimensional manner.In this paper, combining the characteristics of the current urban communitydevelopment,making full use of existing community-related spatial data and attribute data,toachive digital communities's three-dimensional display and real-time queries of relatedattribute information.The topic combine three-dimensional modeling software and GISsoftware successful to operati the data,focus on how to obtain the data,how to process the dataand how to build three-dimensional model of the entities,achieve the final display ofthree-dimensional scene and information inquiries the ArcScene.
