Jigging coal running is a widely used way in coal running areas at present. Almost 60% of original coal running process adopts this method 'in our country. There are many factors, which affect the effect of coal running, such as the characteristics of original coal, controls of air valves, behaving of discharging systems, wind pressure and water pressure, and all these factors interact each other. In addition, the drivers' artificial factors make it more difficult to meet the demands of the qualities of refined coal as well as improving the working efficiency. The actual way to ensure the quality of refined coal is based on it's low reclaiming rate.At present, logical control and conventional PID are the most common methods to control jiggers in inner land. And even original way of manual control is used in some old jiggers. It is confronted with great challenges to realize jigger automatic control due to its complex and interwoven process. Taking 307 jigger of Coal Washery in DongPang Colliery, XingTai City as studying object and based on the analysis of the discharging system, the method of fuzzy logic control is provided and it replaces original pure logic control system in this paper. Based on analyzing the way of improving theair-valves' control precision, an optimizing control algorithm is adopted in the locale.The locale application shows that the improved control method of air valves works reliably, and the fuzzy logic controller of discharging system behaves better than before. The jigger stratification state is more stable and the quality and quantity of the refined coal are ensured, which brings considerable benefit to the coal mine.
