To power supply for glass electric melting furnace, technology of inductive load voltage regulator drove by silicon controlled rectifier had been developed at 1970s. It can decrease need of power supply, smoothly soft start, control to constant current and constant voltage, prevent destroy to electrode from electric impulsion, with higher ratio of performance and price. But it'll be costly to purchase abroad. This technology had been developed in our country at 1990s, but with little use on glass electric melting furnace Technologies of induction voltage regulator, magnetic voltage regulator, resistance load voltage regulator drove by silicon controlled rectifier were used popularly interiorly, with higher cost of power and higher failure rate.In this paper, I discussed the way of power supply in our company firstly, then based the analysis I framed a way of developing inductive load voltage regulator drove by silicon controlled rectifier, key is developing reliable trigger. In this task, we researched principle of inductive load voltage regulator drove by silicon controlled rectifier, and designed the trigger, which is key components. Fabricate it, debugged it and put into service lastly.
