The research of this paper adopt the technology of silicon controlled rectifier voltage regulating and controlling, realize functions such as electric motor of pumping units energy saving and controlling ,the soft start , operation state surveillance and electric motor protection .Therefore, the research has important academic significance and practical value.Aiming at beam pumping units unique operating conditions,this paper have analyzed electric motor energy consumption problem under the two different conditions of heavy and light load, have analyzed the equivalent circuit, characteristics , energy saving principle of asynchronous motor.On the analysis of based on the principle of voltage regulating and energy saving of electric motor of pumping units in this paper, the main circuit and the controller are designed aiming at the equipment of silicon controlled rectifier voltage regulating; Then, voltage regulating arithmetic is also advanced based on the with Power Factor Regulator. The paper carries out systematic investigation and discussion, studies, designs for silicon controlled rectifier voltage regulating style pumping units energy saving controller improves on hardware circuit and the control software, optimizes design of the control software, In order to make the controller gain maximal energy saving effect in any load points. The result shows that energy-saving controller costs little and takes effect evidently.After assembling silicon controlled rectifier voltage regulating style pumping units energy saving controller on electric motor of pumping units ,as the load voltage, current non-sinusoidal wave form has, inevitably, harmonic load circuits exist. Through the analysis and research, The paper come to a conclusion : After assembling this energy saving controller on single electric motor of pumping unit, The total distortion of voltage harmonic and every time effective value of current harmonic are less, far below the state target limit. After assembling the energy saving controllers on many electric motor of pumping units, The amplitude of current harmonic is less than the state target limit.
