Reverse engineering is an important means of digestingadvanced technology, shortening time of product redesign andmanufacturing, and is one of core technology of advancedmanufacturing technology. Started from the measurement ofexisting object, reverse engineering segments, organize, andrestructure the measured data. And then makes its geometricalmodel.This thesis researches the application of Reverse engineeringtechnology to the product exploration by researching the highspeed interlock machine. At first, this paper elaborates thesewing principle of interlock machine; introduces theapplication fields of reverse engineering; analyses the workingmode of sewing components, portrays the working circle ofthem; then processes the kinematic analysis and reverse designof them.This paper takes the digitalization equipment of coordinatemeasuring machine (CMM) for complicated components as theresearch object .This means have the merit of high accuracy,good measuring repetition and big measuring range, itsintroduction to design for interlock machine enhance theefficiency and validity of reverse engineering.Finally, using the data from reverse measuring of the interlockmachine and 3-dimentional plotting software Pro/Engineer, thisthesis sculpts 3-dimentional models for sewing components. Italso use ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of MechanicalSystems) to establish virtual prototyping model and dokinematic simulation. The results provide the basis fortrial-manufacture of physical prototyping and bettermentdesign.
