With the improvement of people' s living standard, the requirement of plastic products and plastic injection mould is increasing day by day, which made injection mould for palstic become more important. But at present there are more problems in the process of designing the injection mould for palstic such as a lot of repeating work,low efficiency and quality, long period of exploiting etc. The secondary development of CAD system is the key method to resolve these problems. Aiming at this, the subject about study and development of the injection mould for plastic product based on Pro/Engineer was given. Combined the actual circumstance that produce of business enterprise and based on resulting much material, this subject used Visual C++ 6. 0 to develop Pro/Engineer Wildfire and established a 3D parametric system which can be used wide. Compared with other system, this system has the following five advantages: (1) Established the 3D parameteric system based on parameter, when user select different mole parameter, the system can draw correspond ing 3D standard part, common part, standard mold base. (2) Users can consult and select standard 3D mold base of this system, and but they can design the mold base according to what they want by this system when they need unstandard 3D mold. (3) When the new standard are given, users may alter the systems parameter to make the new standard displace the old one;(4) The system can complete the drawing the 3D figure and interrelated complex formula to meet the need of the whole working process of plastic inject mold; (5) This system's data manage fully accord with the interface technology of Visual C++ 6. 0, it can provide users to reexploit under their own range.In a word, through establishing this 3D parameteric system, we have improved the working efficiency of Pro/E, reduced the difficulty of operating, optimized interface of Pro/Engineer, it has high practical.
