In recent years, people adopt many kinds of measures on large-scale and key equipments' maintenance in order to make sure that equipment can run normally and reliably. The technology of equipment condition monitoring and diagnosis, which more and more people attach importance to, spread quickly in many different fields. Nowadays, the technology plays an important role in maintenance of equipment running normally.The project, using advanced technique, such as sensor technique, data acquisition technique, signal processing technique and fault diagnosis technique, etc, realize functions of on-line monitoring and data analysis for reciprocating hydrogen compressor groups in polyester plant of Liaoyang petrochemical company CNPE. It can not only acquire signals on different measuring positions in equipment continuously, but also look over current trend, historical trend and make primary fault diagnosis. Using LabVIEW --- VI's software development platform, the acquisition and monitoring software of the project is developed, which has the international level at the end of the 20th century.The solution to the system of remote real-time condition monitoring on reciprocating hydrogen compressor groups, which based on LabVIEW--- software development platform, is put forward in the paper. It contends not only the research for signal acquisition and signal conditioning, but also the structural design and program for data transmission, condition monitoring and data analysis. The PCB Piezotronics' accelerometer is used in the project; the NI Corporation's PCI clip is used in data acquisition; data transmission system, condition monitoring and data analysis are developed by LabVIEW. The on-line monitoring diagnosis system has already been developed into one which has the independent property right of knowledge.The on-line monitoring system has already been installed and debugged for more than half a year in the plant. It has be running normally. It has been proved that the system operates conveniently, runs reliably and has an applied value.
