Ecological function regionalization is described as a process to devide the ecosystem into different subareas based on the aboundant of spatial heterogeneity, ecosystem capital, ecological problems, ecological sensitivity, ecosystem function service, and ecosystem carrying capability, ect.. It aims at protecting and improving the environmental capability to support regional sustainable development.Hangzhou City, which is located in Economy Developing Area in China, was chosen as a case. Ecological function regionalization of Hangzhou City was put forward from cluster-assessing in spatial framework in ecosystem capital, and ecological sensitivity, and ecosystem service, and spatial division in water resource carrying capability. It is pointed out that the major ecological environmental problems, ecological sensitivities and ecological services of each ecological unit, and the supplement from circumambient regions, and strategies for ecological protection and management for each unit.The ecological capital in Hangzhou City was estimated by national capital, economical capital, and social capital. This ecological spatial framework was advanced by calculating the ecological capital of 7 styles, which involved in farmland, garden, woodland, grassland, urban, water body, and bare land . Consequently, the urban structure zoom, the ecological economical zoom and ecological protection zoom would be structured.The ecological sensitivity has been assessed for soil erosion, biodiversity protection, and acid rain sedimentation. The integrated result show that 10.9 percent of area attributed to weak sensitivity region, and 59.6percent of area attributed to medium sensitivity region, and 29.5 percent of area attributed to high sensitivity region.The ecosystem services in Hangzhou City was evaluated in maintain biodiversity, providence of water resource, soil protection, and nutrient cycling. The integrate result indicated that 18.9 percent of area attributed to weak important protection region, and 41.4 percent of area attributed to medium important protection region, and39.7 percent of area attributed to high important protection region.Water resource is the vital element to ecosystem cycling. The result indicated that 16.7 percent of area attributed to absolute water-scarcity, and 18.4 percent of area attributed to water scarcity, and 25.4 percent of area attributed to water stress, and 21.1 percent of area attributed to slight water-scarcity, and only 13.3 percent of area attributed to water abundance. In the result, the water resource per person in Hangzhou was only 1647m~3, which attributed to water stress region.Based on GIS technique and SPSS statistical technique, Hangzhou City was divided into 10 function sections, and the future developmental guide hase been advanced.
