Basing on the current wastewater treatment technologies, the microwave assisted catalytic degradation of T acid was systematically studied. This technology has advantages of high efficiency, simple process and nonselective disposing. Although the technology is on the stage of laboratory research, the results of study indicate that the prospective of the technology is significant and the technology will become a new effective wastewater treatment method. The microwave assisted Fenton reagent and O3 catalytic oxidation process of T acid degradation were studied respectively. The influence of various parameters on the treatment effect was investigated. These parameters include initial concentration of the wastewater pH value react temperature the microwave power and quantity of catalyst and oxidation reagent etc. As the result, the apparent kinetic equations of above two microwave assisted oxidation reaction can be deduced as following:For Fenton reagent system:rcoDcr=1- 868x105Exp(-27. 9/RT)CC0Dcr1.2For O3 system:rCODcr =3. 6x1012Exp(-68. 54/RT)CCODcr1.6According to the analysis result of IR and IC examination in different reaction stage, The T acid degradation mechanism was presumed: at first the naphthalene was activated, secondly the molecular ring of benzene was opened and decomposed to small molecules as CO2 and H2O2.
