The Oretical Investingation And Structure Design Of The Serial Drum Filter

This thesis is concentrated on structural design, strength calculation and analysis of the serial drum filter.By investigating the filtering mechanisms and structural characteristics and referring to development of filter equipment research and the U.S. patents, the overall structure of the serial drum filter is figured out.Using the software of FLUENT, the flow field of the medium inside the serial drum filter in operation is numerically simulated, and applying orthogonal designs, the major factors influencing the flow field or the filter efficiency are sorted out and, thus, the optimized operating parameters have been found.3-D finite element model for the drum of the serial drum filter has been established with use of Shell63 element of ANSYS.
