This dissertation analyses the situations of oil tanks in domestic railway station on present day. And a station oil tank supervision system which introduce the conception of distributed supervision system that will be widely used in the field of industrial control. Automatic control and data administration of oil tank supervision is implemented by administration of distributed system, controlling the temperature, fire alarm putting out fires, liquid level detection, oil transmission and other approaches of sub-system. Particularly, this dissertation introduced the design of hardware and software of the oil tank supervision system at Xiangbei railway station.This system takes an essential role in the railway station, which is responsible for oil storage, oil dispatch and other important tasks. Presently, the lag of controlling means, information administration and other flaws exist in most of the oil tank supervision systems. So the development of oil tank supervision system in railway station is very meaningful.This system adopts the hierarchical architecture. Intelligent meters and PLC consist of the bottom-lay controlling station, which implement the process of data collection and procedural control. And the operation station of this system is made of IPC, which implements the operations of man-machine conversation, data display, the administration of the whole control system and the function of printing and reporting forms as well Simultaneously, the whole system is connected with the LAN of this railway station, which implements the remotely control and administration on is supervision system.Now this system runs sound and safe at Xiangbei station. All the functions and performances have been satisfied the requirements of Xiangbei station, this supervision system works stable reliable, and it can be conveniently maintained.
