With modern rolling equipment become large-scale, continual execution, high speed and automatic, the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of roll equipment has already become urgent need. Torque as an important parameter of force and energy that reflects main drive system working condition has been paid more and more attention by engineering technician and factory curator, and torque measure technology has become a new course in the field of measure technology. Although torque monitoring is feasible, the sticking and installing jobbing-sheet is difficult and the circumstance of rolling mill reduces the lives of jobbing-sheet. So the direct on-line measurement is not fit for long time but for short time. However, the measurement of electronic parameters is easy and reliability. The relationship between the torque and these parameters can be obtained by establishing the suitable dynamical model then the value of torque can be calculated by measurement of these electronic parameters for condition monitoring. So that accomplishes the torque indirect monitoring. Firstly, the principle, signals and main functions of this system have been studied in this paper, which specifically demonstrates the principle as well as the way of torque signal acquiring and measuring by telemeter. Then a data acquisition and wireless transmission system, which based on ADμc812 and Flash Rom W29C040, is designed according to the system's basic demands. ADμC812 is fully integrated data acquisition system incorporating ADC, DAC and MCU on a single chip. So data acquisition system is made very easy to develop. The data finally is transferred to PC by wireless transmission module. At last this paper introduces the software development of data acquisition system. In the end, a summary of the thesis and the future view of next work and the development of torque monitoring of Rolling mill are given.
