In view of the present situation, in this thesis, the numerical simulation based on the finite element was introduced to investigate the wrapped forming process. The main contents are as follows:The reasons leading to the lag of numerical simulation technology used in the self-lubricating bush industry were analyzed in detail. The processing principles and forming technology of wrapped bearing bushes were systemically analyzed. The disadvantages during the bush forming process and the resolving methods were also discussed. In addition, some main parameters related to the bush forming were analyzed and calculated.A couple of key issues to be solved in simulation analysis of the bearing bush forming were presented through the introduction of the theories on finite element simulation, and the suggestions and tentative plans to solve the mentioned problems were proposed. The material models commonly used in the forming simulation of wrapped bearing bushes were discussed in detail. The influences of different material models were analyzed on simulation results separately. Based on the above analyses, the criteria of quantitative analysis for forming parameters were suggested and some conclusions for the analysis of forming results were drawn. The study was focused on the influences of some physical parameters, such as types of models, clearances of models and load curves, on the simulation results. The forming technology and the model structure were improved and optimizd. Subsequently, the real process of the finite element analysis and the result processing for the wrapped bearing bushes was introduced in detail through a case study. As proposed in this thesis, the finite element models, simulation conditions and the established methods and theories will be valuable references for the finite element analysis in wrapped processing of bearing bushes, which is closely related to bimetallic bearing bushes and tri-layer composite materials. By doing so, the author tries to promote the application of simulation technology of finite element into the wrapped bush industry, and this method will certainly improve the technology in the forming industry of wrapped bushes.
