Rod pumping has a sizable proportion of mechanical oil production; the beam pumping unit is the most important ground part of rod pumping system. The beam pumping unit has already over 100 year's history, and it still occupied the absolute superiority in the various countries. Along with oil field unceasing development, that requests the pumping unit to have the longer stroke, the bigger load, the lower energy consumption, the smaller volume and the lighter weight to fix the oil field's need. Many new pumping units developed successfully, has made the contribution to the oil field development.The pumping unit is supposed to the main energy consumer. and the rod pumping system's average performance is only about 23%, that means it still have great potential to energy conservation.Virtual Prototyping technology is recently developed based on the technology about CAX and DFX. It further fused the modern information technology, the advanced simulation technology and the advanced manufacture technology, and applies these technologies in the complex system entire life cycle and the entire system, carries on the synthesis management to them, analyzes the complex system from the system stratification plane.On international, the technology of CAD/CAE/CAM and virtual prototyping were obtained very early on the application in the pumping unit's design. At present, the research to pumping unit mainly concentrate in the automated movement, nobody melts management and intellectualized control, and already yielded some results, promoted some intellectualized pumping units.This paper for the first time introduced Virtual Prototyping technology in pumping unit dynamic analysis and optimization. Unifies three dimensional CAD software UG, systems dynamics analysis software ADAMS and finite element analysis software ANSYS in together. First establishes the assembly model of pumping unit in UG. Then inducts it the ADAMS establishment function prototype tests it and optimizes it according to pumping unit movement request. Finally enters...
