The large number of mineral tailings which are brought by the mine exploitation is a serious and difficult environment problem to our country for many years. Metal tailings which are abundant in silicon dioxide, pyrites and trace elements have lower melting point and are favorable materials to producing cement. This dissertation made research on utilizing and industrialization for the mineral tailings of copper lead zinc tin, supported by the national ten-five key project "The research of the key technique on the exploitation, utilizing and industrialization for the mineral tailings of copper lead zinc tin". On the basis of characteristic analysis on all kinds of mineral tailings of copper lead zinc, mineral tailings was classifying according to its application. At the same time, the calcining experiment for twenty material prescriptions of the mineral tailings substituting the clunch or mineralizer mixed with different grades of limestone was actualized in the laboratory's heating kiln under the different temperature. After the fCaO analysis and the X-diffraction test to the calcined samples, the reasonable prescriptions and optimal calcining condition were put forward for different kinds of mineral tailings used to substitute the clunch or mineralizer, the research conclusion offers the instructional reference for the large-scale industrialization production. In the experiment, It was discoved that many kinds of mineral tailings contain the sulfides of iron, lead and zinc, which can be oxidated and exothermic in the process of the calcining, and have obvious effect on economizing energy. Experiments on mixed material of metal tailing indicated its a good cement mixed material As mixed proportion keeps under 30 percent, cement can reach 325R intensity guide line ordained by our national criterion organization. The metal tailing applied test in desiccated circumgyrate kiln of 2500t/d as mineralizer and substitute of clay, indicates metal tailing can increase cement output by 10.07%, save coal by 8.29%, decrease dissipative electricity by 4.88%, the economic, social and environmental benefit is very obvious.
